Job Description
The Indian Army has released the official notification for the NCC Special Entry Scheme 58th Course (October 2025) for Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army. This recruitment is open to unmarried male and female candidates, including wards of battle casualties of Army personnel.
Qualification
To apply for this position, candidates must meet the following educational requirements:
For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders:
- A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
- Final-year students may apply, provided they have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in their first two/three years.
- A minimum of ‘B’ grade in the ‘C’ Certificate exam of NCC.
- Must have served for at least two/three years in Senior Division/Wing of NCC.
For Wards of Battle Casualties:
- A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks.
- NCC ‘C’ Certificate is NOT required.
- Must provide valid documents proving the parent’s battle casualty status.
Age Criteria
- Candidates should be between 19 to 25 years as of 01 July 2025 (born between 02 July 2000 and 01 July 2006).
Total Vacancy
- Men: 70 vacancies (63 for General Category & 07 for Wards of Battle Casualties).
- Women: 06 vacancies (05 for General Category & 01 for Wards of Battle Casualties).
Location
Selected candidates will undergo training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai and will be commissioned across India.

Salary
